Terms of Sale
These terms apply to every order you place with PetNest. They sit alongside your rights under New Zealand consumer law — nothing here takes those rights away. Please read them before you order.

1. Who you are buying from
petnest.co.nz is operated by Channel EVA Limited (NZBN 9429047292987), trading as PetNest, of 9/136 Marua Road, Mount Wellington, Auckland 1051, New Zealand. When you place an order you are entering into an agreement with Channel EVA Limited on these terms.
2. Products and descriptions
Catwalk® and Dogwalk® pet doors are designed in Auckland by Pet-Tek International, part of Channel EVA Limited, and we also stock selected brands such as SureFlap. We describe every product as accurately as we can, including its specifications, materials and sizes. Colours and finishes may appear slightly different on screen. If a product turns out to be materially different from its description, your consumer-law rights apply (see clause 8).
3. Prices
All prices are shown in New Zealand dollars and include GST. Delivery is charged in addition unless the free-shipping threshold applies (see our Shipping page). We try to keep prices accurate, but if an obvious pricing error occurs we may cancel the order and refund you in full before dispatch rather than supply at the wrong price.
4. Placing an order
Ordering right now: online checkout opens very soon. Until it goes live, each product page shows its real price with an “Enquire to order” button — email us and we’ll confirm stock, total and payment directly. Once checkout is live, the steps below apply automatically.
Placing an order works like this:
- You add items to your cart and complete checkout — as a guest, or with a free account if you prefer. You never have to create an account to order.
- You receive an automatic acknowledgement that we have received your order.
- A contract is formed only when we accept your order and dispatch it (or confirm dispatch by email). Until then we may decline or cancel an order — for example if an item is out of stock or a pricing error is found — and refund any payment in full.
5. Payment
Payment is due at the time of order through our secure payment provider, or as otherwise agreed for enquiry orders. We do not store your full card details.
6. Delivery
We ship within New Zealand from our Auckland base. Delivery costs, timeframes and areas are set out on our Shipping page, which forms part of these terms. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
7. Returns and cancellations
How to return a faulty item, and our goodwill policy for change-of-mind returns, are set out on our Returns page, which forms part of these terms. Customised, personalised or engraved items cannot be returned for change of mind because they are made to your order.
8. Your consumer rights and our warranty
Where you buy as a consumer, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 give you guarantees that cannot be excluded — including that goods are of acceptable quality, fit for purpose and match their description. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. Our Catwalk® and Dogwalk® doors also carry our own warranty — 3 years on the door and 1 year on moving parts — in addition to your consumer rights. Other brands we stock, such as SureFlap, carry their maker’s own warranty. See our Warranty page.
If you are buying for business purposes, some consumer guarantees may be contracted out of to the extent the law allows.
9. Intellectual property
All content on this site — text, images, logos, and the Catwalk® and Dogwalk® trade marks — is owned by Channel EVA Limited or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without our written permission.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, and without limiting your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act, our liability for any claim relating to a product is limited to replacing the product, repairing it, or refunding its price.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one published on this page when you place it.
