We ship right across New Zealand from our Auckland base by tracked courier, with free shipping on orders over NZ$250. Here’s what to expect on cost and timing.

Where we ship
We deliver throughout New Zealand — North Island, South Island and rural addresses. We do not ship overseas at this time.
Shipping cost
Free shipping on every order over NZ$250.
For orders under NZ$250, one flat courier rate applies, set by where we’re delivering: Auckland, the rest of the North Island, or the South Island. Rural Delivery (RD) addresses add a small rural surcharge on paid shipping.

You’ll always see the exact freight cost before you pay — nothing is added afterwards. When your order qualifies for free shipping, it’s applied automatically.
Dispatch and delivery times
We aim to dispatch in-stock orders within 2–3 business days. Once your parcel is with the courier, allow a further 1–2 business days for North Island delivery and 2–3 for the South Island, with an extra day or two for rural addresses.
These are estimates, not guarantees, and can run longer over public holidays or during peak periods. You’ll get tracking so you can follow your parcel.
Customised items
Customised and personalised items are made to your order, so they take a little longer — we’ll show the expected make time on the product page before you buy.
Glass-fitting doors
Our glass-fitting cat and dog doors are supplied to you (or your glazier) as the door unit — the glass cut-out is arranged separately by a glazier. See the Pet Doors pages for fitting guidance.
When your order hasn’t arrived
If your tracking hasn’t moved or your parcel is late or looks damaged, email us at info@petnest.co.nz with your order number and we’ll sort it out. Under the Consumer Guarantees Act, goods must be delivered within a reasonable time.

How much does shipping cost in New Zealand?
Shipping is free on every order over NZ$250. Under NZ$250, a flat courier rate applies based on your region — Auckland, the rest of the North Island or the South Island — and you’ll see the exact cost at checkout before you pay.
How long does delivery take?
We aim to dispatch in-stock orders within 2–3 business days from our Auckland base. After dispatch, allow 1–2 business days for North Island delivery and 2–3 business days for the South Island, plus an extra day or two for rural addresses. Every order is sent by tracked courier so you can follow it.
Do you deliver to rural addresses?
Yes. We deliver to rural addresses throughout New Zealand. Rural deliveries usually take an extra 1–2 business days on top of the standard courier time, and a small rural surcharge is added to paid shipping at checkout. Orders over NZ$250 still ship free.
Do you ship outside New Zealand?
Not at the moment. PetNest ships within New Zealand only. Catwalk® and Dogwalk® doors are designed in Auckland by Pet-Tek International, and export enquiries are handled separately — email us at info@petnest.co.nz if you’re outside New Zealand and we’ll point you in the right direction.
