How to fit it
- 1Remove the cover cap. Pry or lift it off to reach the fixing screw.
- 2Undo the fixing screw. It holds the inside and outside sections of the dial together.
- 3Separate the old dial. Pull the two sections apart from either side. If it is damaged, wiggle gently rather than forcing it against the frame.
- 4Fit the new dial. Line up the inside and outside sections through the frame and tighten the fixing screw.
- 5Cap it and check. Press the cover cap over the screw. The dial should click firmly into all four positions — if it spins, tighten the screw a little more.
- 6Refit the door. Screw it back so it is held firmly, but do not overtighten — in glass that can start a run in the pane.

Do I need tools?
A screwdriver. Take the door out first, then the dial comes apart at its fixing screw.
Does the door have to come out?
It is strongly recommended, especially in glass. Remove the four screw caps and screws, separate the inner and outer frames, change the dial on the bench, then refit.
What do the four settings do?
Entry only, exit only, both ways, or locked both ways. A correctly fitted dial clicks firmly into each one.
Is there a grey dial for the black Maxi (G-SDDB)?
No grey set is made for the Maxi. A black G-SDDB takes the white or the clear set — either fits.
