The small dog door for timber and uPVC doors
For a small dog — or a big cat — the Small Slim Line is a neat, low-profile door for panels from 11 to 30 mm: a hollow-core back door, a uPVC laundry door, a ply panel. It is a DIY job with a jigsaw, and the two frames clamp through the panel with stainless screws.
Sized for small dogs
180 mm wide, 227 mm high: dogs up to about 360 mm at the shoulder. Measure floor to the top of the shoulder blade. A dog over that needs the Medium.
Sealed and lockable
The polycarbonate flap sits in a brush seal and closes on a magnet. The 4-way dial gives in-only, out-only, both, or locked, and clips in without tools if it ever needs replacing.

Thick door or a wall? Choose the Tunnel
For panels 11–52 mm — a solid door, or straight through a wall — the Small Tunnel has a self-adjusting liner and the same opening.

Care
Wipe the flap and frame with a damp cloth and mild detergent. No solvents, no abrasive pads — they haze polycarbonate. The brush seal can be replaced if it wears; ask us for the part.
Warranty
3 years on the door against manufacturing and parts defects; 1 year on movable parts — the replacement flap (W-SDDRF, $26) and the 4-way locking dial (W-LDSDDG, $13). Excludes accidental damage, misuse and normal wear. Keep your proof of purchase. This sits alongside, and does not limit, your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
How to fit it
- 1Measure belly height. Floor to your dog’s stomach while standing — the bottom of the opening sits there.
- 2Mark the cut-out. Tape the template from the box to the door at that height and draw round it.
- 3Cut the hole. Drill a start hole in each corner and cut along the line with a jigsaw. Suits panels 11–30 mm.
- 4Fit the outer frame. From outside, push the outer frame into the hole.
- 5Fit the inner frame. From inside, push the inner frame on and screw the two halves together evenly.
- 6Test the lock. The dial comes fitted — turn it through all four positions and check the flap swings freely.

Watch the installation
One measurement
Stand your dog square and measure from the floor to the top of the shoulder blade. That number picks the door. The opening should be at least 25 mm wider than your dog’s widest point, and its top should sit above shoulder height.
Multi-pet home? Size for the biggest, fit for the smallest — the bottom of the opening at the smaller animal’s belly height.

Which dogs fit the Small?
Small dogs up to about 360 mm at the shoulder, and large cats. The usable opening is 180 × 227 mm; check your dog’s width and chest depth, each plus 25 mm, against it.
What panels does it suit?
Timber, PVC and metal from 11 to 30 mm thick. Thicker than that, or through a wall, choose the Tunnel version (11–52 mm).
Slim Line or Tunnel?
Same door, same opening. The Slim Line is for panels to 30 mm; the Tunnel adds a self-adjusting liner for panels and walls to 52 mm.
Is it DIY?
Yes — drill, jigsaw, screwdriver. Mark the template at belly height, cut the hole, fit the outer frame from outside and the inner from inside, screw together, and turn the dial through its four positions to test.
White or brown?
Both, at the same price. White for painted and uPVC doors, brown (W-SDDB) for stained timber.
