Your cat in, other cats out — no batteries
The usual problem with a cat door is who else uses it. The Multi-Magnetic solves it the simple way: the flap is held shut by a latch, and only the small magnet on your cat’s collar releases it. No batteries, no microchip reader, nothing to charge or fail. One collar magnet comes in the box; spares are sold in pairs.
Fits single and double glazing
The frame clamps through glass from 3 to 26 mm through a 245 mm round hole, the same cut-out as the Standard Catwalk, so an existing Standard can be swapped for this one without new glass.
The right cat for it
The opening is 155 × 157 mm — normal domestic cats, 9 months and older, who will tolerate a collar. Very large cats should use the Maxi (which is not selective).

Wooden door instead?
The wood-fitting Multi-Magnetic does the same job in timber, PVC and metal panels 11–52 mm.

- Latching flap, fitted
- One C-M collar magnet
- 4-way locking dial, factory fitted

To be installed by a professional glazier.
Care
Wipe the flap and frame with a damp cloth and mild detergent. No solvents, no abrasive pads — they haze polycarbonate. The brush seal can be replaced if it wears; ask us for the part.
Warranty
3 years on the door against manufacturing and parts defects; 1 year on movable parts — the replacement flap (G-MCDRF, $24); spare collar magnets (C-M, pair $25) are stocked. Excludes accidental damage, misuse and normal wear. Keep your proof of purchase. This sits alongside, and does not limit, your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
What your glazier will do
- 1Measure belly height. Floor to your cat’s stomach while standing — that is where the bottom of the opening goes. Cats: 100–150 mm.

- 2Mark and scribe. Mark that height on the glass from the outside and scribe a 245 mm circle — this is the cut-out.

- 3Cut, or replace. Single glazing: the glazier cuts the hole. Double glazing or toughened: the glazier supplies a new pane with the hole already made.
- 4Fit the two frames. Outer frame in from outside, inner frame over it from inside — a slip joint that closes against the glass.

- 5Screws. Cut the fixing screws to length and tighten firmly. Do not over-tighten.

- 6Test the lock. The dial comes fitted — turn it through all four positions to check.

Four-way locking

Entry only · exit only · both ways · locked. On the Multi-Magnetic the flap also stays latched to any cat without a collar magnet.

Two measurements
Measure your cat’s width at the shoulders and the depth from the top of the shoulders to the bottom of the chest; add 25 mm to each and both should fit inside the opening. Fit the door with the bottom of the opening 100–150 mm off the floor.
Multi-pet home? Size for the biggest, fit for the smallest — the bottom of the opening at the smaller animal’s belly height.

Before you buy
Does it really keep other cats out?
Yes. The flap is latched and only releases when a cat wearing the C-M collar magnet approaches. A cat without the magnet cannot push it open from outside. It is not a microchip door — a stray wearing a matching magnet could use it, which is rare.
Does it need batteries?
No. The release is purely magnetic. There is nothing to charge, replace or reset.
Can more than one cat use it?
Yes — each cat wears a collar magnet. Spares come in pairs (C-M).
What glass does it fit?
Single or double glazing from 3 to 26 mm, through a 245 mm round cut-out made by a glazier. Sealed units are replaced with a unit that has the hole pre-cut.
Will my cat wear the collar?
Most do within a few days. Use a quick-release safety collar and let the cat get used to it indoors first. The magnet is small and light.
