The round cat door for glass
A glass cat door should disappear into the pane, and a round one does that best: one 245 mm hole, no corners to crack from, and a frame only 9 mm deep on each face. The Standard fits single glazing and sliding doors from 3 to 10 mm, which is most older aluminium joinery and almost every window.
Sized for ordinary cats
The opening is 165 mm wide by 180 mm high — right for cats up to about 7 kg. A very large cat, or a small dog, should have the Maxi instead.
Quiet, sealed, lockable
The polycarbonate flap closes on a magnetic catch against a full brush seal, so it does not bang in the wind or let the draught through. The 4-way dial gives in-only, out-only, both, or locked.

Double glazing or a big cat? Choose the Maxi
The Maxi Dual Glaze takes glass to 28 mm and has a larger 187 × 190 mm opening; the Maxi Slim Line does the same for sliders.
What arrives

- Polycarbonate flap with magnetic catch, fitted
- 4-way locking dial, factory fitted
- Fixing screws
- Installation guide
To be installed by a professional glazier.
Care
Wipe the flap and frame with a damp cloth and mild detergent. No solvents, no abrasive pads — they haze polycarbonate. The brush seal can be replaced if it wears; ask us for the part.
Warranty
3 years on the door against manufacturing and parts defects; 1 year on movable parts — the replacement flap (G-CDRF, $24) and the 4-way locking dial (G-LDCDC, $13). Excludes accidental damage, misuse and normal wear. Keep your proof of purchase. This sits alongside, and does not limit, your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
What your glazier will do
- 1Measure belly height. Floor to your cat’s stomach while standing — that is where the bottom of the opening goes. Cats: 100–150 mm.

- 2Mark and scribe. Mark that height on the glass from the outside and scribe a 245 mm circle — this is the cut-out.

- 3Cut, or replace. Single glazing: the glazier cuts the hole. Double glazing or toughened: the glazier supplies a new pane with the hole already made.
- 4Fit the two frames. Outer frame in from outside, inner frame over it from inside — a slip joint that closes against the glass.

- 5Screws. Cut the fixing screws to length and tighten firmly. Do not over-tighten.

- 6Test the lock. The dial comes fitted — turn it through all four positions to check.

Four-way locking

Entry only · exit only · both ways · locked.

Two measurements
Measure your cat’s width at the shoulders and the depth from the top of the shoulders to the bottom of the chest; add 25 mm to each and both should fit inside the opening. Fit the door with the bottom of the opening 100–150 mm off the floor.
Multi-pet home? Size for the biggest, fit for the smallest — the bottom of the opening at the smaller animal’s belly height.

Before you buy
What glass does the Standard cat door fit?
Single glazing and sliding doors from 3 to 10 mm thick. It is not for double-glazed units — for those, choose the Maxi Dual Glaze.
Can I fit a cat door in a glass door myself?
No — the 245 mm hole has to be cut by a glazier, or a new pane supplied with the hole in it. After that the two frames clamp together with screws in minutes.
What size cat will fit?
Cats up to about 7 kg. The usable opening is 165 mm wide by 180 mm high. For a big cat or a small dog, the Maxi’s 187 × 190 mm opening is the better choice.
Does it suit a sliding door?
Yes. The frame projects only 9 mm on each side of the glass, so it clears the track and fixed pane on a ranchslider.
Does it lock?
Four ways: entry only, exit only, both directions, or locked. The dial is fitted at the factory — test it once the door is in.
