A through-wall cat door with a tunnel that sets itself
A thick door or a wall leaves a raw-edged hole that a flat cat door cannot cover. The Tunnel has a telescoping sleeve that extends to the panel as you tighten the frames — 11 to 52 mm, no cutting the liner, no guessing.
Same cat, same opening
155 × 157 mm for cats up to about 7 kg. Magnetic catch, brush seal, UV-stable flap, 4-way dial lock.
DIY in an hour
Template at belly height, jigsaw (or core through the wall), outer frame from outside, inner frame from inside, screws. The dial is already fitted; turn it through its four positions to check.
Download the installation guide (PDF) — the fitting sheet that comes in the box.
Thin door? Choose the Slim Line
Up to 30 mm, the Slim Line is the same door without the tunnel. To keep other cats out, see the Multi-Magnetic, which also fits to 52 mm.
What arrives
- Catwalk Tunnel wood-fitting door — inner and outer frame with self-adjusting tunnel
- Polycarbonate flap with magnetic catch, fitted
- 4-way locking dial, factory fitted
- Cutting template and screws
- Installation guide
DIY fit — drill, jigsaw and screwdriver. No trades needed.
Care
Wipe the flap and frame with a damp cloth and mild detergent. No solvents, no abrasive pads — they haze polycarbonate. The brush seal can be replaced if it wears; ask us for the part.
Warranty
3 years on the door against manufacturing and parts defects; 1 year on movable parts — the replacement flap (W-CDRF, $24) and the 4-way locking dial (W-LDCDG, $13). Excludes accidental damage, misuse and normal wear. Keep your proof of purchase. This sits alongside, and does not limit, your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
How to fit it
- 1Measure belly height. Floor to your cat’s stomach while standing — the bottom of the opening sits there. Cats: 100–150 mm.

- 2Mark the cut-out. Tape the template from the box to the door at that height and draw round it.
- 3Cut the hole. Drill a start hole in each corner and cut along the line with a jigsaw. Suits panels 11–52 mm.
- 4Fit the outer frame. From outside, push the outer frame into the hole — the tunnel extends to meet the panel.
- 5Fit the inner frame. From inside, push the inner frame on and screw the two halves together evenly.
- 6Test the lock. The dial comes fitted — turn it through all four positions and check the flap swings freely.
Four-way locking

Entry only · exit only · both ways · locked.

Two measurements
Measure your cat’s width at the shoulders and the depth from the top of the shoulders to the bottom of the chest; add 25 mm to each and both should fit inside the opening. Fit the door with the bottom of the opening 100–150 mm off the floor.
Multi-pet home? Size for the biggest, fit for the smallest — the bottom of the opening at the smaller animal’s belly height.

Before you buy
Do I have to cut the tunnel to length?
No. It telescopes to the panel thickness as the frames are screwed together, anywhere from 11 to 52 mm.
Can it go through a wall?
Yes, up to 52 mm in total. Cut or core the opening and fit it exactly as you would in a door.
What size cat fits?
Cats up to about 7 kg. The usable opening is 155 × 157 mm.
Tunnel or Slim Line?
Panel to 30 mm: Slim Line. Thicker, or a wall: Tunnel. Everything else is the same.
Is it lockable?
Yes — 4-way dial: in only, out only, both, or locked.
