Lock it properly again
The locking dial is the part you turn every night. If yours is cracked, spinning, stiff or missing, a new set restores all four settings: entry only, exit only, both ways and locked.

How to fit it
- 1Support the door. Lay it on a firm, flat surface and protect the area around the dial with tape or a soft cloth.
- 2Tap out the old dial. Find the pronged side and tap the prong back out the way it went in, using a punch and light, controlled taps. A drop of lubricant helps if it is tight; do not prise against the door. If the prong is broken or sits flush, drill a small centred hole and draw it out with a screw or extractor.
- 3Clean the hole. Make sure the frame hole is clean and free of debris.
- 4Press in the new dial. Push the pronged part through from one side, line up the flat part on the other, and press them together until the prong engages — by hand, or with a soft mallet and the surface protected. If needed, a tiny drop of silicone oil helps; wipe off any excess or the dial can stay loose.
- 5Check it. It should sit flush, click firmly into all four positions and not loosen as you turn it.
- 6Refit the door. Screw it back firmly but do not overtighten — it can strip the threads.

Before you buy
Which doors does the W-LDCDG fit?
Wood-Fitting Cat Door, Slim Line (W-CDW, W-CDB); Wood-Fitting Cat Door, Tunnel (W-CDTW, W-CDTB). Each door colour takes a specific dial colour — this list is exact.
What is in the set?
Inside dial section, outside dial section.
Do I need tools?
A punch and a soft mallet. Take the door out first; the old dial taps out and the new one presses in.
Does the door have to come out?
It is strongly recommended. Remove the four screw caps and screws, separate the inner and outer frames, change the dial on the bench, then refit.
What do the four settings do?
Entry only, exit only, both ways, or locked both ways. A correctly fitted dial clicks firmly into each one.
