A new flap, the same door
The flap is the part that takes the knocks — claws, sun and years of pets pushing through. When it is scratched, cloudy, cracked or no longer closing firmly on its magnet, a new flap brings the door back without touching the frame, so nothing in the glass or the wall has to change.
Fits these doors
Dogwalk® Glass-Fitting Intermediate Dog Door, Dual Glaze — G-IDDC, G-IDDW, G-IDDB
Dogwalk® Glass-Fitting Intermediate Dog Door, Slim Line — G-IDDSLC, G-IDDSLW
Is this the right flap?
Match the code on your door frame to the list above, or measure the flap itself: this one is 216 × 250 mm. Still not sure? Email a photo to info@petnest.co.nz and we will tell you.
What arrives
- G-IDDRF replacement flap
- Magnet (press-fits into the base of the flap)
The 4-way locking dial is not part of this kit; dial sets are listed on the spares page.
Care
Wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent. No solvents or abrasive pads — they haze polycarbonate.
Warranty
Covered against manufacturing defects. Keep your proof of purchase. This sits alongside, and does not limit, your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
How to fit it
- 1Take off the hinge cover. At the top of the flap, ease the cover off with a flat tool to reach the fixing screws, without marking it.
- 2Flick off the cover caps. A flat knife lifts the three caps on the hinge plate.
- 3Remove the hinge plate and old flap. Undo the three screws and lift both out.
- 4Fit the magnet the right way round. Hold the new magnet against the magnet in the base of the door frame — it must pull towards it, not push away. Then press it firmly into the recess at the base of the new flap. Once it is in, it cannot be taken out again.
- 5Fit the new flap. Sit it in the frame, lay the hinge plate over it and tighten the three screws.
- 6Replace the caps. Snap the cover caps back over the screws.
- 7Test it. Open and release the flap a few times: it should swing freely and close firmly on the magnet.
