Glass, or an old hole, made flat
The Microchip Cat Flap screws through a rectangular hole in a door. Glass is different: a glazier cuts a round hole, and this adaptor is the bridge — it clamps either side of the pane and gives the flap a flat face to mount on. Nothing is screwed into the glass.
Replacing an older cat door
Round hole already there from a previous door? Anything from 212 to 260 mm is covered. Fit the adaptor over it and the SureFlap mounts as if the hole were new.

Before you buy
Do I need this for a wooden door?
Only if there is already a round hole from an old door. For a fresh install in timber, uPVC or metal the flap fits straight in without the adaptor.
Does it fit the SureFlap Microchip Pet Door?
No. The Pet Door is a larger frame and uses the GMA101WT2 adaptor.
Who cuts the glass?
A glazier. Single glazing is cut in place; double glazing or toughened glass means a new pane with the 212 mm hole already made.
