Eight millimetres of frame
Some sliders have almost no clearance between the moving panel and the fixed pane. The Intermediate Slim Line was designed for them: the frame stands only 8 mm off the glass on each side, the overall footprint is 340 × 340 mm, and it clamps through single glazing from 4 to 13 mm.
The right size for smaller dogs
A 216 × 237 mm opening suits dogs up to about 380 mm at the shoulder. Measure floor to the top of the shoulder blade; if the number is bigger, step up to the Medium Slim Line.
Through the glass, not beside it
Your glazier supplies or cuts the pane with a 320 mm round hole and the two frames clamp through it. Unlike a clip-in insert panel, the slider keeps its full width and the door seals and locks.

Thicker or double glazing?
For glass over 13 mm or a sealed double-glazed unit, choose the Intermediate Dual Glaze (4–32 mm). Same opening, same flap, same lock.

Care
Wipe the flap and frame with a damp cloth and mild detergent. No solvents, no abrasive pads — they haze polycarbonate. The brush seal can be replaced if it wears; ask us for the part.
Warranty
3 years on the door against manufacturing and parts defects; 1 year on movable parts — the replacement flap (G-IDDRF, $28) and the 4-way locking dial (G-LDDDC, $16); the optional security clip (SC-DDC, $13) adds a second lock. Excludes accidental damage, misuse and normal wear. Keep your proof of purchase. This sits alongside, and does not limit, your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
What your glazier will do
- 1Measure belly height. Floor to your dog’s stomach while standing — that is where the bottom of the opening goes.

- 2Mark and scribe. Mark that height on the glass from the outside and scribe a 320 mm circle — this is the cut-out.

- 3Cut, or replace. Single glazing: the glazier cuts the hole. Double glazing or toughened: the glazier supplies a new pane with the hole already made.
- 4Fit the two frames. Outer frame in from outside, inner frame over it from inside — a slip joint that closes against the glass.

- 5Screws. Cut the fixing screws to length and tighten firmly. Do not over-tighten.

- 6Test the lock. The dial comes fitted — turn it through all four positions to check.

Four-way locking

Entry only · exit only · both ways · locked. The Medium also ships with locking clips that secure the fully-locked position.

One measurement
Stand your dog square and measure from the floor to the top of the shoulder blade. That number picks the door. The opening should be at least 25 mm wider than your dog’s widest point, and its top should sit above shoulder height.
Multi-pet home? Size for the biggest, fit for the smallest — the bottom of the opening at the smaller animal’s belly height.

Before you buy
What glass thickness does it fit?
Single glazing from 4 to 13 mm. Most older aluminium ranchsliders are 5–6 mm and fit easily. For thicker or double-glazed panes use the Intermediate Dual Glaze.
How much room does it need on a slider?
8 mm each side of the glass. Measure the gap between the sliding panel and the fixed pane; if it is more than 8 mm the inner frame will clear it.
Which dogs fit?
Dogs up to about 380 mm at the shoulder. The usable opening is 216 mm wide by 237 mm high; check your dog’s width and chest depth, each plus 25 mm, against it.
Slim Line or Dual Glaze?
Slim Line for single glazing to 13 mm where you want the lowest profile; Dual Glaze for anything thicker or double glazed. Opening, flap, lock and warranty are identical.
Who fits it?
A glazier. Toughened slider glass is replaced with a pane that has the 320 mm hole already made; then the two frames clamp together with four screws. The dial is factory fitted — just test it.
