The slim one for sliders
On a sliding door the frame has to stay out of the way of the track and the fixed pane. The Maxi Slim Line keeps it to 9 mm each side — low enough for almost any ranchslider — and clamps through single glazing from 3 to 21 mm.
One opening for cats and small dogs
187 mm wide, 190 mm high. Big cats go through without turning sideways, and small dogs up to about 300 mm at the shoulder use the same door. Magnetic catch, brush seal, UV-stable flap.
Fitted through the glass
Your glazier cuts a 267 mm round hole (or supplies a pane with it made) and the two frames clamp together through it. Nothing clips into the track and nothing narrows the slider.

Double glazing? Choose the Dual Glaze
For a sealed unit or glass over 21 mm, the Maxi Dual Glaze takes 3–28 mm with the same opening and lock.
What arrives
- Catwalk Maxi Slim Line door — inner and outer frame
- Polycarbonate flap with magnetic catch, fitted
- 4-way locking dial, factory fitted
- Four fixing screws, cut to length on site
- Installation guide
To be installed by a professional glazier.
Care
Wipe the flap and frame with a damp cloth and mild detergent. No solvents, no abrasive pads — they haze polycarbonate. The brush seal can be replaced if it wears; ask us for the part.
Warranty
3 years on the door against manufacturing and parts defects; 1 year on movable parts — the replacement flap (G-SDDRF, $26) and the 4-way locking dial (G-LDSDDC, $13). Excludes accidental damage, misuse and normal wear. Keep your proof of purchase. This sits alongside, and does not limit, your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
What your glazier will do
- 1Measure belly height. Floor to your cat’s stomach while standing — that is where the bottom of the opening goes. Cats: 100–150 mm.

- 2Mark and scribe. Mark that height on the glass from the outside and scribe a 267 mm circle — this is the cut-out.

- 3Cut, or replace. Single glazing: the glazier cuts the hole. Double glazing or toughened: the glazier supplies a new pane with the hole already made.
- 4Fit the two frames. Outer frame in from outside, inner frame over it from inside — a slip joint that closes against the glass.

- 5Screws. Cut the fixing screws to length and tighten firmly. Do not over-tighten.

- 6Test the lock. The dial comes fitted — turn it through all four positions to check.

Four-way locking

Two measurements
Measure your cat’s width at the shoulders and the depth from the top of the shoulders to the bottom of the chest; add 25 mm to each and both should fit inside the opening. Fit the door with the bottom of the opening 100–150 mm off the floor.
Multi-pet home? Size for the biggest, fit for the smallest — the bottom of the opening at the smaller animal’s belly height.

Before you buy
Will it fit my ranchslider?
Almost certainly. The frame stands 9 mm off the glass on each side; check that the gap between the moving panel and the fixed pane is more than that, and that the glass is single glazing between 3 and 21 mm.
Is this a cat door insert for a sliding glass door?
No — it is better than one. Insert panels sit in the track and permanently narrow the doorway. This door is cut into the glass, keeps the full slider width, seals and locks.
Which pets fit?
All cats, including large breeds, and small dogs up to about 300 mm at the shoulder. The usable opening is 187 × 190 mm.
Slim Line or Dual Glaze?
Slim Line for single glazing to 21 mm and the lowest profile; Dual Glaze for double-glazed units or glass to 28 mm. Same opening, flap and lock.
Who installs it?
A glazier. Toughened slider glass is replaced with a pane that has the 267 mm hole made; the frames then clamp together with four screws. The dial is already fitted.
