Keeps the neighbour’s cat out of the kitchen
The flap is latched shut and only the small magnet on your cat’s collar releases it, so other cats stay outside. There is nothing electronic — no batteries, no reader, nothing to fail in the rain. One collar magnet is in the box; spares come in pairs.
Fits doors and walls to 52 mm
Timber, PVC or metal from 11 to 52 mm, with a self-lining tunnel that sets itself to the panel. Template, jigsaw, two frames, screws: a DIY job.
The right cat for it
155 × 157 mm opening for normal domestic cats, 9 months and older, wearing a quick-release collar. Very large cats should use a Dogwalk Small instead (not selective).
Download the installation guide (PDF) — the fitting sheet that comes in the box.
Glass door instead?
The glass-fitting Multi-Magnetic does the same job through glass 3–26 mm.

- 4-way locking dial, factory fitted

Care
Wipe the flap and frame with a damp cloth and mild detergent. No solvents, no abrasive pads — they haze polycarbonate. The brush seal can be replaced if it wears; ask us for the part.
Warranty
3 years on the door against manufacturing and parts defects; 1 year on movable parts — the replacement flap (W-MCDRF, $24); spare collar magnets (C-M, pair $25) are stocked. Excludes accidental damage, misuse and normal wear. Keep your proof of purchase. This sits alongside, and does not limit, your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
How to fit it
- 1Measure belly height. Floor to your cat’s stomach while standing — the bottom of the opening sits there. Cats: 100–150 mm.

- 2Mark the cut-out. Tape the template from the box to the door at that height and draw round it.
- 3Cut the hole. Drill a start hole in each corner and cut along the line with a jigsaw. Suits panels 11–52 mm.
- 4Fit the outer frame. From outside, push the outer frame into the hole — the tunnel extends to meet the panel.
- 5Fit the inner frame. From inside, push the inner frame on and screw the two halves together evenly.
- 6Test the lock. The dial comes fitted — turn it through all four positions and check the flap swings freely.
Four-way locking

Entry only · exit only · both ways · locked. On the Multi-Magnetic the flap also stays latched to any cat without a collar magnet.

Two measurements
Measure your cat’s width at the shoulders and the depth from the top of the shoulders to the bottom of the chest; add 25 mm to each and both should fit inside the opening. Fit the door with the bottom of the opening 100–150 mm off the floor.
Multi-pet home? Size for the biggest, fit for the smallest — the bottom of the opening at the smaller animal’s belly height.

Before you buy
Does it keep other cats out?
Yes. The flap stays latched until a cat wearing the C-M collar magnet approaches; a cat without one cannot push in. It is not a microchip door — it reads a magnet, not a chip.
Does it need batteries?
No. The release is magnetic. Nothing to charge or replace.
What doors does it fit?
Timber, PVC and metal panels or walls from 11 to 52 mm, lined by the self-adjusting tunnel. DIY with a jigsaw and screwdriver.
Can several cats use it?
Yes — one collar magnet each. Extra magnets are sold in pairs (C-M).
Will my cat accept the collar?
Most do within days. Use a breakaway safety collar and let the cat wear it indoors first; the magnet is small and light.
