The microchip cat flap, ready for glass
On its own the SureFlap screws through a rectangular hole in a door. Glass is different: a glazier cuts a round hole and the mounting adaptor is the bridge — it clamps either side of the pane and gives the flap a flat face to mount on. Nothing is screwed into the glass. This kit puts the flap and the adaptor in one order so nothing is missing when the glazier arrives.
Single or double glazing
In single glazing the glazier cuts the 212 mm hole in place. In double glazing or toughened glass the existing unit cannot be cut, so the glazier supplies a new pane with the hole already made; add one tunnel extender so the flap reaches through the thicker unit.

Chipped cats to about 6 kg whose way out is a window, glass door or ranch slider, in homes where other cats let themselves in. Bigger cat? Print the size tester first, or look at the Catwalk® Maxi.

Glazier cuts the 212 mm hole; you fit the adaptor and flap with a screwdriver.
Care
Wipe the flap and frame with a damp cloth and mild detergent; keep the battery compartment dry. No solvents, no abrasive pads. Change the four AA batteries when the low-battery light shows — your registered cats and lock setting are kept.

How to fit it
- 1Check the fit. Print the size tester at 100% and see your cat through the 142 × 120 mm opening.
- 2Mark the height. Floor to your cat’s stomach is where the bottom of the opening goes — 100–150 mm for most cats. Mark it on the glass from outside; keep clear of a slider’s handle side.
- 3Glazier cuts the hole. A 212 mm round hole, cut in place in single glazing; in double glazing or toughened glass a new pane arrives with the hole made.
- 4Clamp the adaptor. The two halves of the mounting adaptor go either side of the hole and tighten together through it.
- 5Fit the flap. Outer frame into the adaptor from outside, inner frame from inside, screwed together. Double glazing: clip one tunnel extender onto the outer frame first.
- 6Fit the batteries. Four AA in the compartment on the inside frame. The light blinks to say it is ready.
- 7Register your cat. Hold the learn button, let your cat through once, and the flap remembers it. Repeat for each cat, up to 32.

What is in the Glass Fitting Kit?
The SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap (SUR001, white) and the SureFlap Cat Flap Mounting Adaptor (GMA001WT2, white) — the same two items sold separately, at the same combined price, in one order. Batteries (4 × AA) are not included.
What size hole does the glazier cut?
212 mm round. The adaptor also covers an existing round hole up to 260 mm if you are replacing an older cat door.
Does it work in double glazing?
Yes. The glazier supplies a new double-glazed pane with the 212 mm hole already made (an existing sealed unit cannot be cut). Add one TUN001WT2 tunnel extender so the flap reaches through the thicker unit.
Does my cat need a special collar?
No. The flap reads the identification microchip already implanted in your cat. If a cat is not chipped, a Sure Petcare RFID collar tag (sold separately) works the same way.
Will my cat fit?
The opening is 142 × 120 mm, for cats to about 6 kg. Print the size tester at 100% and watch your cat go through before you order; a bigger cat is better in a Catwalk® Maxi.
Can I buy the parts separately?
Yes — SUR001 and GMA001WT2 are both sold on their own at the same prices. The kit just saves a step.
